Time Guesser

Privacy Policy  ·  Effective date: July 2, 2026

Overview

Time Guesser ("the app", "we", "our") is a free mobile game developed by an independent developer. This policy explains what information is collected when you use the app and how it is used. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

Information We Collect

The app does not require an account and does not collect your email, password, phone number, real name, or contact details. There is no login and no online profile.

Most of the app works fully offline: your game history, statistics, and settings are stored only on your device and are never transmitted anywhere.

The one exception is the Daily Challenge leaderboard. To show a ranked board of everyone's result for the day, the app generates a random device identifier and a randomly-generated display name (which you can change) the first time you open it. When you complete the once-a-day challenge, this device identifier, display name, and that day's result (which game was played and how close your guess was) are sent to our backend (Supabase) and shown publicly on that day's leaderboard, ranked by accuracy. No other gameplay is uploaded — practice rounds and local multiplayer games stay on your device.

The device identifier and display name are not linked to your real name, email, or any other personal information, and there is no login or online account.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalised or non-personalised ads, including:

  • Device identifiers (e.g. Advertising ID)
  • IP address and approximate location
  • App usage and interaction data
  • Device information (model, OS version)

This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us. You can review Google's data practices at: policies.google.com/privacy

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time through your device settings:
Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID

Consent (EEA, UK & Switzerland)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the app will show a consent dialog on first launch (powered by Google's User Messaging Platform). You can choose whether to allow personalised ads. Your choice is respected at all times and can be changed by reinstalling the app.

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

  • Google AdMob — advertising. Privacy Policy
  • Supabase — hosts the Daily Challenge leaderboard (device identifier, display name, and daily results as described above). Privacy Policy

Data Retention & Deletion

On your device: your game history and stats stay on your device. They are deleted when you uninstall the app or tap "Clear history" in the Statistics screen.

Daily leaderboard: your device identifier, display name, and daily results are retained on our backend so the leaderboard remains viewable. To request deletion of this data, contact us at the email below with your in-app display name.

Advertising data handled by Google AdMob is governed by Google's own retention policies; see the AdMob link above and your device's ad settings to manage it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
